I was born September 11, 1956 in Martinsville, VA and lived in Henry County for most of my life. I'm currently living in Fork Mountain, Va with my wife Donna for the last twelve years. The musical influences in my life have been "The Easter Brothers", Lester Flatt and Earl Scruggs, J.D.Crow and John Huey just to name a few. I also love tradtional country music which has become scarce over the years. I started playing the bass at about the age of twelve and learned the guitar shortly thereafter. I started playing the pedal steel guitar around that same time. I picked up the banjo when I was about sixteen years old. I played music with Mom and Dad and my sisters for about twenty years until Dad started Pastoral duties. For the past twenty years I been playing in a band called "The Churchmen". Here recently I've been concentrating on the steel guitar which I love the most of the instruments I've been able to learn to play. The Lord has truely blessed me with a wonderful family which I'm very much looking forward to playing and singing with in the coming year. We just finished a recording project at "Outlet Recording" that I'm very proud of and I'm sure anyone who hears it will agree with me that it is songs from the heart. God Bless!
